Current Vaccine, Tick & Flea Protocol

Current Vaccine, Flea & Tick Protocol

Vaccinate for Rabies as 5rtclose to 5 to 6 months of age 30 days away from any other vaccine!!!

Use only the Merial Imrab 1 (TF) Vaccine.  This vaccine is Thimerosal Free which is the safest vaccine now available to dogs.  Thimerosal is Mercury that can cause an allergic and even life-threatening reaction and blindness.  Please be sure to contact your vet and make sure they use the Merial Rabies Vaccine or a Rabies vaccine that it is (TF).

Your puppy has already had a Nobivac DP parvo/distemper vaccine at 8 weeks of age. I recommend another Nobivac DP parvo/distemper vaccine at 12 to 14 weeks & 16 to 18 weeks of age.  Be sure they are at least 30 days apart.  Please call us if you are not certain.

Then do a titer a year later. If the titer comes back in the normal range, your puppy DOES NOT need another vaccine; it is very unlikely it will come back low. This is the new accepted protocol by Dr. Jean Dodds. Please see the attached addendum to this contract.  Boosters are NOT needed and can be dangerous and affect your dog’s autoimmune system, which can cause life-threatening events.

The vaccine below is the label you are looking for to give to your puppy. If your vet does not carry this vaccine, please ask if you can purchase it from us, and we can give it to you to give to your vet to administer.  These vaccines come in packs of 25 doses.

YOUR NEW PUPPY DOES NOT NEED ANY OTHER VACCINE

THESE SIDE EFFECTS OUTWEIGH ANY BENEFITS IF ANY AT ALL

  • NO HEPATITUS
  • NO ADENOVIRUS IF POSSIBLE ADENOVIRUS 2 IS RELATIVELY SAFE IF NOSODES GIVEN
  • NO LEPTO
  • NO CANINE FLU VACCINE
  • NO LYME VACCINE
  • BORDATELLA OK IF NASAL OR ORAL NO INJECTION, BUT THIS IS ALSO NOT NEEDED

To be safe we recommend you give your puppy Benadryl am and pm for several days after vaccines have been given – 25 mg am and pm and even safe to give 3 times a day. This helps with any inflammatory reaction after vaccine is given and Natural Rearing’s thuja, Lysin and Sulphur Nosodes will also help with preventing any side effects

Breeder recommends testing for Heartworm and tick diseases annually!

  • Breeder recommends INTERCEPTOR or MILBEHART for Heartworm and parasites NOT INTERCEPTOR PLUS!

The products below are the same except for almost half the price and if your veterinarian does not carry these products, your veterinarian can write you a prescription to order from Chewy.com or Amazon.com

YOUR Breeder recommends ADVANTAGE II for Fleas and Mites:

Breeder notes that the puppy only needs a Fecal for the First Visit with the vet, and start following with monthly Interceptor if needed.  No Nexgard,  Bravecto, or Simparica, and NO VACCINES NEEDED at your puppy’s first hello visit!  Your puppy’s next vaccine is not due until 12 to 14 weeks of age.  The third and last Parvo and Distemper is due between 16 and 18 weeks, and the final vaccine is rabies, which is best given at 20 to 24 weeks of age.  Rabies by Federal law is due before 6 months of age, and for your puppy’s safety, to be given ALONE 30 days after the last 16 to 18 week Parvo and Distemper Vaccine.  PLEASE SEE VACCINE SCHEDULE ON THE LAST PAGE

Annual testing for tick disease is highly recommended by the Breeder

Especially The Northeast and other Areas Heavily Infested with Ticks

Breeder does NOT recommend the use of any Flea and Tick Medication except for Advantix and all-natural sprays. Please see below the photo of the product, use AS NEEDED, and it is relatively safe.

ALL of these medications have insecticides in them and have been proven to cause serious side effects, cancer, and death.  Just Google products like Trifexis, Nexgard, Bravecto, Simparica Trio, and Sentinel.  Facebook these side effects and you will find all the horror stories.  Don’t go there!  There are safe and Natural Choices available to you.   The side effects of the insecticides outweigh the benefits as they may STILL get the disease or be bitten by an infected tick, and the tick diseases ARE Treatable with Doxycycline.  Do you want your dog to get very sick and die from the tick medications on the market?   Be proactive and spray and or treat your yard professionally, stay out of heavy infected tick areas, and mist your dog with either an essential oil spray made for ticks, and if you or your pet is blessed unfortunately with a tick disease, it is easy to treat thankfully with Doxycycline.  Both Jasper and Shanticlaire lived very long, healthy lives with these tick diseases and were treated when needed with Doxycycline, which BTW is safe!  Don’t make your dog a guinea pig and take a chance.  Read online the side effects and what can happen to your special new baby, and make the right choice.

Breeder FIRST CHOICE #1 All Systems Tea Tree Oil Spray

Spray yourself and the dog when hiking!  Amazing product verified by Dana at Magic Touch Grooming by spraying herself and two of her female Samoyeds and going hiking all afternoon in a very heavy area of ticks in the deep woods of CT. Came back to the grooming shop and checked herself, and high air force blew out the girls’ coats, and zero ticks!  Scent is not bad at all!

You Do NOT need the Ear so Fresh it is for breeds like Schnauzers and Doodles
